TRANSCRIPT
You’re most likely listening to this by yourself, but raise your hand if you ever thought having a script is lame with a capital L.
I’m sure you raised your hand and that’s okay.
We’re going to walk through a few reasons why having a script is so important and vital to your success.
Think about the time you’ve called somewhere and could 100% tell that someone was reading off of a script because they sounded like a robot and had zero personality to the conversation.
That is not the vibe that we’re going for.
Instead, I want you to think about the show or movie you just watched. Guess what?… They’re reading from a script and they don’t sound like robots do they?
Does a script need fine-tuning? Yes.
Can you make it your own? Yes, you sure can.
One of the most impactful things you can do for your career is to put in the work behind the scenes, meaning practice, practice, and then practice some more.
Scripting your calls is a great way to do that. What it’s going to do is it’s going to build your confidence tenfold, which will drastically increase the amount of sales you close, which in turn is going to increase your paycheck.
I strongly encourage you to take time to script out your most common calls, then practice them all.
Grab a teammate at the office and role-play. Have your dog, be the customer, and say the script to them. Even talk to yourself in the mirror.
Scripting is the game, and confidence is the game.
So I challenge you to sit down, write a script, and practice it.
Have an amazing day and we’ll talk to you soon.
