Are you curious about how you can become more productive while focusing on your health and happiness FIRST?
The 90% of people who go about on auto pilot are the masses…they are the herd who all do the same, think the same and…
…they get the same results.
The herd believes that if you want more you have to work more…and work harder.
The problem is, that they are working harder with backward and broken mindsets.
This leads to stagnant results and frustration.
When they walk to the left, we go right.
Two areas that many in the insurance herd overlook are physical and mental health, and diet and hydration. Believe it or not, these are vital elements to success.
You’ve heard that life is a marathon, not a sprint, right?
If you are at the starting line of your marathon and you have 20 minutes before the starting gun goes off, what would you spend your time doing?
My guess is that you’d mentally prepare yourself and stay loose by stretching your muscles.
Insurance Agency Optimization’s 6 Daily Disciplines as part of our Win Every Day Playbook are your daily stretching and mental preparation for each day.
The daily disciplines are designed to make you happier, healthier, and ultimately more productive each day.
- Diet
- Exercise
- Positive Journaling
- Acts of Kindness
- Learn Something
- Meditation
I know some of you may look at a few of these daily disciplines and think to yourself, “What does this have to do with elevating my success as an insurance producer?”
I’m glad you asked!
One of the founding principles of Insurance Agency Optimization is that happiness comes FIRST and THEN success will follow.
In my day we were always taught that once we accomplish a goal THEN we will be happy. Unfortunately, we’ve been working that formula backward our entire lives.
The truth is that when we are HAPPY first…our brain is in a positive mindset. And once our brain’s dial is set on “positive,” we then begin to see opportunities we otherwise would have missed.
Ultimately, success in the insurance industry is determined by how many opportunities a producer can uncover each day.
The great news here is that we have total control over our daily disciplines. This means there are no outside factors that prevent us from doing them and we do not need help from anybody else to get them done.
It is 100% our CHOICE if we complete them or not.
In this marathon of life, there are countless things we cannot control…
So we must stay in control of the things that we CAN.
Like every ingredient for long-term success and gratification, the daily disciplines are NOT a quick fix. While certain daily disciplines will give you an immediate boost, sticking with the six disciplines with the same grit and, well, discipline, is how results will be revealed.
Keep in mind that NONE of these are challenging to do, but… they are even easier NOT to do.
All daily disciplines do NOT need to be completed all at once and none of them (except for movement) need to take you longer than 10 minutes to complete.
So your call to action today is this…
Figure out which 30 minutes of your day you can consistently OWN.
For most people, it’s the first 30 minutes each morning or the last 30 minutes each night.
For others, it’s during breaks or lunch at work and for others, it’s immediately after work.
I have found that the only person who can prevent me from owning the FIRST 30 minutes of my day is ME!
Each morning when my alarm clock goes off I don’t hear an alarm, I hear an opportunity. An opportunity to jump out of bed and start the process of improving myself.
Once that opportunity clock rings…
This is the FIRST choice YOU will make in your day…
I challenge you NOT to allow your first decision of a new day to be GOING BACK TO SLEEP!
Erase the fact that a snooze button even exists… it is no longer an option for you.
Let your competition go back to sleep. YOU have way too much to accomplish each day.
During the first 30 minutes of my day I begin the hydration process,
I stretch,
I meditate,
I reflect on all of the positive moments from the day before,
I send one or two random texts or emails to somebody saying something kind or expressing gratitude and then I read something educational.
Depending on the morning, it may take up to 40 minutes, but the point is I can check the boxes on four to six of my daily disciplines while 90% of people are still hitting the snooze button and complaining they never have time to do everything!
Right now, pause reading and decide which 30 minutes from each day you will OWN every single day!
Thirty minutes you will dedicate to the daily disciplines to make you happier, healthier, and more productive.
